IN MOTION!
A Poem.
It’s cold outside but you look great!
In between these blurry lights, I can feel your charming grey!
Don’t tell me it’s too late, I don’t want to come back tomorrow!
I’m no jack and the beanstalk, but I want to be your purple rain!
The showers are empty and the bench has its new mark!
The sinuses are selective but the stems at the center always remain calm!
We are shadows and entities, but we never asked to be made black!
I’ll accept all your ignorance and misinformation, just don’t ever try to pull us back!
At the first green light, I see a solid same.
She glows amongst her peers and you can tell that she feels very much at home.
Reminiscent of an attacking midfielder, she retains an offside position in the opposition half,
With a clear voice and a strong stride, you can tell she knows the value of her soul.
At the second bright light, I see a brotherly lone wolf.
Through his eyes, you can see he’s nearly lost but still hanging in there with some hope!
He casts a hazy demeanor; you can tell he has accepted his placement on the far left wing.
His neck is uncomfortably low as his body and mind fluctuate with the wind.
Why can’t we close our minds tonight and open our hearts in the morning?
Why can’t we stumble freely into an open space and stabilize ourselves with our vulnerability?
Why can’t we drop our hoodies on our shoulders and worry only about the uniform air that we breathe?
Let’s all take the next swipe with our middle finger and displace the cardinal system from being the warden for our NEWS!
