Inside My Mirror!

A Poem | (#11) Culled From My Third Book — Respectful Ideation

Quick Q:

If the thirteenth month of the last year asked you what its next leap letter is, what color would you say the lyrics in Santa’s retina are dancing to?

- Adeboye Oluwajuyitan, M.D., from Book, EvolutionR (Poem — Help Me Solve this Puzzle In Between The Middle of My Midbrain).

Inside My Mirror!

Poem — Date of Composition: June/July 2022.

“TALKING TO MYSELF” PAINTING | FREEDOM COLLECTION © BEFIBRILLATOR | MOST PEOPLE DON’T GET THIS PAINTING. SPOILER ALERT; IT’S A PHONE RECEIVER ON TOP OF THE TWO HEADS, AND THE MIRRORED NUMBERS AND SYMBOLS MAKE THE REST OF THIS DUAL-SHARED CANVAS. HOW DO YOU TALK TO YOURSELF?

I look inside the mirror,

And California is the Capital of Spain.

Saw is the past tense of Saw,

And giving birth does not involve any pain.

I look inside my mirror,

And there’s no gravitational pull.

I’m floating in a Hogwarts stadium,

And my team’s jersey is color blue.

I look inside the mirror,

And Israel and Palestine are friends.

January to December is Autumn,

But there is no such thing as sex.

I look inside my mirror,

And I’m a gray turtle in the sea.

I can assume any shape or color I want,

But I can never be a green bee.

I looked inside the mirror,

And the President of London was Putin.

Cancer was the name of a song,

And all Astronauts lived in Greece.

I look inside my mirror,

And I can suddenly see inside my Brain!

I have a silver caudate nucleus,

And scribbled on my hippocampus is the name, James.

I look inside the mirror,

And my eyes are a little pale.

On top of my hair is a white fur,

And in between my lower incisors is a tiny piece of kale!
